What you'll be doing:

  • Supports the Acquisition Program Manager (APM) in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines.
  • Staffs Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES), Monthly Activity Reports (MAR) and support program management and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Oversees the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Manages meetings, calendars, agendas, and briefings, including providing briefings of program status to senior management.
  • Determines requirements; develops goals and objectives to accomplish program missions.
  • Gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs utilizing knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Ability to understand various funding types, budges and understand the Central Asset Management (CAM) process.
  • Monitors, mentors, and develops lower-level (Senior, Journeyman) Acquisition Support Specialists and other contractor support personnel in accordance with Govt PMO leadership lines of effort, policy, and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need:
  • Security Clearance Required: Secret
  • One of the following education/experience combinations:
    • Master's degree in Business or related field and 3+ years' acquisition experience (10+ years' preferred), OR
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 5+ years' acquisition experience (10+ years' preferred), OR
    • 11+ years acquisitions experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite software and project management/scheduling software programs such as MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and Defense Acquisition Framework.
Benefits & Compensation:
  • Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • The base pay for this position is $85,500 to $142,000 across the U.S. There is also a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training and education.
