The Mechanical Engineer is for the laboratory automation space. Will design, calculate, build, and tests various hardware components.

Education Requirements:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills for the Mechanical Engineer:

- Must be well versed with CAD/Solidworks and PDM.

- Applicant must be able to work both independently and with different project teams onsite at the Chesterfield, MO campus.

- Meticulousness and organizational skills must be at a high level.

- Must have excellent communication skills, highest level of attention to detail, and ability to problem solve.

- 1-3 years of experience

Responsibilities:

- Will be for the laboratory automation space.

- Designs, calculates, builds, and tests various hardware components.

- Has working knowledge of safety, project management, fabrication print best practices, 3D printing, and experience in necessary hand tools within industry.

- Successful candidate will be researching products online, provide CAD drawings and write technical documents (assembly instructions, bill of materials, machine shop prints, and presentations), assist in assembling prototypes, running tests, participate in design reviews and must be able to work with other engineers and researchers both locally and remotely to build laboratory automation systems.
