Seeking Applicants, under the direction of the Director of Student Financial Services, provides financial aid counseling and support to students and families as well as administrative support duties to facilitate the operation of the Office of Student Financial Services. The Financial Aid and Student Loan Coordinator assists in coordinating activities with other departments, outside agencies, and the campus community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in all job functions/interactions
  • Provide guidance and counsel to students and families regarding Title IV and Institutional aid
  • Complete the process of returning Title IV funding as needed.
  • Complete FAFSA Verification of incoming and corrected ISIRS within ED regulation
  • Review Professional Judgment paperwork and complete ISIR corrections
  • Coordinate the PLUS loan process, including but not limited to assisting families and GRAD students with applications, awarding, and reconciliation
  • Process and administer Alternative loans
  • Coordinate the Federal Direct Loan process including but not limited to awarding, tracking entrance and MPN receipt and reconciliation
  • Responsible for staying current on financial aid policy changes and monitoring/auditing student files for compliance
  • Maintain FERPA compliance
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor(s)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree and equivalent experience, plus relevant specialized training
  • Requires 1 to 3 years of experience in Financial Aid, higher education, and/or related fields.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for specific skills
