As a Security Guard - Access Control Driving Role in Georgetown, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter unwanted activity, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies. Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual conditions. Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and other relevant events in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols. Communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related concerns or escalations. Support adherence to food and beverage industry regulations by following client protocols related to contamination prevention and authorized access. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience in loss prevention is preferred. Holding a guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
