About the Company

A local university is looking to add to their accounting team. You will have the opportunity to support ongoing education not only for students but for yourself.



Responsibilities

  • Performs complex, detailed reconciliations of operating and payroll bank accounts to the general ledger
  • Performs other general ledger reconciliations as needed in support of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Calculates and initiates corresponding journal entries
  • Maintains Excel spreadsheets for audit support / inquiries
  • Runs posting processes such as IGLP and PGLT and resolves posting errors to ensure accurate and timely posting of detail entries
  • Other duties as assigned



Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Experience identifying, collecting and organizing data for decision making
  • Proficient in relevant software such as Excel



Salary and Benefits

  • Pay range is $70,000 to $75,000
  • There is a very strong benefits package
  • A hybrid schedule is offered with some days requiring you to be in the Uniontown office
