We are a dynamic and fast-growing agency at the forefront of the "Food is Medicine" field, providing over 1M medically tailored meals annually to clients and their families experiencing illness and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, our work strongly focuses on supporting the regional local food system, delivering high-quality nutrition education to the community, and hosting an on-site food-service workforce development program. Over the past 33 years, the agency has provided 11M+ free, scratch-made meals. As Facilities Manager you will oversee the proper repair, maintenance, and operation of a Kitchen and Office Building in Mansfield, MA Primary Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities: Oversees building, kitchen, HVAC and grounds maintenance. Manages the maintenance of all custodial functions through vendors. Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, public spaces, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces. Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures. Manages and reviews service contracts. Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections. Checks completed work by vendors and contractors. Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications. Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees. Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management. Preparing the interior and exterior of the facilities for weather conditions Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders. Continually looking for areas of improvement Lead our Safety Committee and conduct Safety Trainings Support other departments like Volunteer, Reception & Delivery, when necessary.

Which could include:

overseeing volunteer orientation and hosting volunteers. supporting the receptionist with clerical work. providing drivers with route assignments.

Requirements:

Familiarity with general repair skills Perform routine maintenance on equipment of familiarity. Able to troubleshoot damaged and malfunctioning equipment. Can work independently, time management skills. Some Spanish ability is a plus but not required. Communication skills, decision making, and problem solving. IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Leadership and professionalism Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional evening and weekends Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent 5-10 years in related position Some facilities management coursework is preferred. We offer a complete benefits program including:

This position requires an individual to have the ability to lift to a maximum of 50 lbs. and includes bending and standing for long periods of time. The incumbent must maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate the following equipment and machines used in the performance of this job: kitchen equipment (i.e., oven, kettle, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer, and chef's knives) and the telephone.
