Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards. Monitor changes in legislation and adjust policies and procedures as necessary. Program Development and Management: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to EHS policies and regulatory requirements. Training and Awareness: Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and management. Promote awareness and understanding of EHS issues and foster a culture of safety within the organization. Incident Management: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training. Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential EHS issues. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and preparedness activities. Environmental Management: Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, recycling programs, and pollution control. Monitor and manage environmental impact assessments and regulatory reporting. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external regulators, and community stakeholders to address EHS concerns. Prepare and present EHS reports and updates to senior management and other relevant parties. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS management. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS processes and performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)) is highly desirable. Minimum of [X] years of experience in EHS management or a related role. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards.
