Insight Global is assisting a Medical and Diagnostics Device client of ours in identifying a Director of Manufacturing for an open position they have. This individual will be tasking with supervising a team of 65 individuals and developing and revamping the manufacturing process for the company. Some of the responsibilities are listed below:Duties/Responsibilities: Leads all production operations and delivers results as committed. Establishes meaningful KPIs and drives actions to improve them. Works through supervisors to lead production employees, delivering continual improvements in efficiency, production quality, costs, on-time delivery, throughput, velocity, and balanced loading. Ensures production employees have the training, tools and feedback they need to be successful. Manages an effective production planning process to ensure balanced production and on-time delivery Drives lean manufacturing and continuous improvement results. Drives reductions in scrap and rework. Evaluates new production processes and equipment. Collaborates with other department leaders to achieve company's overall goals. Supervises and coordinates facilities maintenance Prepares, executes, and monitors production reports, analysis and budgets. Ensures employee compliance with plant safety, environmental, and operational standards and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Organizes and oversees departmental supervisors, driving results through them. Hires and onboards production staff. Ensures a robust training process to ensure all employees are fully capable of performing assigned work. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Required Skills/Abilities: Deep understanding of SMT manufacturing, technology and quality Deep experience in medical device manufacturing requirements or requirements in a similar, highly-regulated industry Deep understanding of operating world class production Thorough understanding of utilizing and maintaining production equipment. Excellent skills: verbal and written communication interpersonal and managerial analytical and problem-solving organizational and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any ERP system. Education and Experience: Deep experience in medical device and/or circuit board manufacturing. At least ten years of operational leadership experience at the manager or director level required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Associate's degree required.
