As a Project Engineer Quality, you will be responsible for driving aggressive preventive/corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality. Specific Responsibilities Reduce internal and external failure costs due to design and process-related failures. 8D facilitation and documentation Pareto and analyze warranty data to identify and communicate current issues. Six Sigma methodology to understand capability, failure rates, basic statistics. Participate in and drive design reviews, including DFM/A, Serviceability, and Safety. Use data collection and instrumentation to understand failures and system interactions. Develop test methods to simulate field environments. Coordinate cross functional teams internally and externally, to solve problems, or facilitate strategic projects. Requirements Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing) from an ABET accredited university. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of quality tools and methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FEMA, 8D) Willingness to work in a hands-on environment. 2+ years of preferred professional experience (will consider internship or co-op experience) in a manufacturing or quality-related role preferably heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or automotive. Exposure to ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, or similar quality systems desired. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Six Sigma Yellow Belt a plus. Experience using data acquisition equipment and statistical analysis tools desired (e.g. Dewesoft, Minitab) Fabrication (e.g. welding, machining) experience is a plus. Engine (diesel and/or gaseous) experience is a plus. Generator experience is a plus. The Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.
