The People Team Specialist supports all People functions, including recruiting, hiring, benefits, workers' compensation, safety and training new employees. They ensures compliance with all employment and safety policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations and requirements and will communicate with employees at all levels, applicants, and vendors in a professional manner. The People Team Specialist must be able to conduct onboarding and safety tailgates, support the staffing process, process workers' compensation, organize benefit enrollments, organize company-wide activities, help manage employee relations, conduct interviews, administer company policies and procedures along with company benefit programs, and help with employee counseling.

We are looking for a highly engaged person who is focused on accomplishing goals, building positive relationships, learning new things, and adding their own creativity to the team. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least three years of work experience in People Functions (HR). Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and a clean DMV record. Confidentiality is critical to this position and department. Bilingual preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the essential functions of the position. The list is not exhaustive, and may be supplemented as necessary.

* Maintains strict confidentiality * Administers workers' compensation benefits/claims * Administers employee benefit plans * Administers the Random Drug Testing Program * Administers 90-Day reviews * Conducts onboarding and sets up new hires * Supports recruiting and selection process functions including interviewing and job offers * Administers and trains employees for health, safety, policies as needed * Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws and requirements * Ensures employee safety, welfare and health * Attends all staff meetings, trainings and educational classes as required * Manages all required paperwork to meet deadlines for compliance or requests * Assists with coordination of team member related functions and activities including annual Company picnic. Attendance required at functions. * Coordinates Anniversary Luncheons & administers anniversary pins * Conducts necessary investigations as needed * Submits EEOC annual report * Coordinates E-trip program through San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District * Prepares & distributes phone & address lists as needed * Submits responses to EDD and Child Services as needed * Submits Workers' Compensation claims injuries to carrier * Keep all employee records up to date in People Team, Payroll & Benefit websites * Coordinates New Hire Orientation as needed * Translate English to Spanish for employees/applicants as needed * Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor * Additional duties as required
