New opportunity available for a Senior Accountant. Work is onsite in Cranberry, PA.

The ideal candidate will have at least

5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing along with solid leadership skills and dedication to driving and achieving results.

Essential Duties

Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to support annual audits and tax filings.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making and strategic planning.

Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to ensure professional development and performance excellence.

Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements.

Monitor cash flow and liquidity needs, and provide recommendations for optimizing working capital management.

Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Previous supervisory or managerial experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Proficiency in accounting software (SAP Business One preferred)

SQL and Crystal reporting experience a plus

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

ADP Payroll experience

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
