POSITION: Logistical Services Specialist

LOCATION: Logistical Services Department

JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistical Services Specialist assists with the daily operations of the Logistical Services department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Three (3) years of secretarial/clerical experience;
  2. Three (3) years or more of customer service experience;
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive;
  4. Three (3) years of data entry experience;
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  2. Ability to proficiently multi-task;
  3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with DCSS staff and vendors;
  4. Excellent customer service skills;
  5. Ability to collect, sort, prepare and scan documents, and label them for easy identification;
  6. Ability to ensure that all records are properly updated, and maintained in an accurate and confidential manner.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Greets and directs visitors;
  2. Provides secretarial and clerical support for the department;
  3. Responds to telephone calls, routes calls, and takes messages;
  4. Organizes vendor demonstration meetings;
  5. Creates and distributes meeting agendas;
  6. Accepts and signs for mail deliveries;
  7. Distributes mail;
  8. Processes receipts for deliveries in System ERP;
  9. Processes supply order requisitions and maintains organized filing systems for orders;
  10. Keeps accurate records of all stock orders;
  11. Maintains supply inventory for department use;
  12. Places department supplies orders;
  13. Processes vendor applications and maintains vendor lists;
  14. Assists with requisitions and purchase orders as needed;
  15. Maintains recycle records and delivers proceeds to Accounting;
  16. Assists with student incident reports;
  17. Sorts mail, screens incoming calls, and sets appointments;
  18. Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the Supervisor.


REPORTS TO: Director of Logistical Services

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide
