Job Functions:

•As a registered nurse (RN) you will play a critical role in providing excellent care as well as superior customer service to all resident on your unit.

•Assists the nursing leadership team in the planning, developing and overall operations of the entire facility while ensuring all residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.

•Assess resident's conditions to implement intervention and develop care plans

•Accurately document observations for residents in Point Click Care (PCC) to ensure care plans are being followed.

•Assure facility medical records, policies and procedures are adhered to

•Regularly rounding on residents both independently and with physician; observe and evaluate symptoms, progress and reactions to treatments. Implement interventions and medications as necessary.

•Provide preventative, supportive, maintenance and rehabilitative care directed to the physiological and psychosocial needs for the well-being of residents.

•Provide a variety of treatments: dressing changes, cleansing and/or irrigating wounds, perform foley catheter irrigations, IV therapy, administer tube feedings

Requirements

Education, Training, and Experience:
  • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR certification required.
  • One year of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is desired (not required).
  • Knowledge of applicable state nursing regulations preferred.
Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing in a long-term care setting.
  • Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required
