We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a forecast system proof of concept and subsequent full implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Kanban and Waterfall project management methodologies, extensive experience in machine learning operations (MLOps), and a solid understanding of forecasting implementations. This role requires a highly organized individual with experience in systems integrations and the ability to work closely with enterprise data, operational planning, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams.

***This position will require you to work onsite in Broomfield, CO 2 days per week***

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional forecasting system project using both Kanban and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and met.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive project progress and foster collaboration.

Machine Learning Operations (MLOps):

  • Ensure the accurate and on-time creation of workflows and technical infrastructure to support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of machine learning models.
  • Keep data scientists and data engineers accountable to ensure the smooth integration of ML models into production systems.

Systems Integration:

  • Work with the Director of Integrations and the owners of other systems to project plan the integration of ML model outputs, focusing on ensuring ML pipelines are optimized to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Highlight integration issues through project check-ins to drive resolution of integration issues in a timely manner.

Collaboration with Planning and FP&A Teams:

  • Work closely with planning and FP&A teams to align project objectives with financial goals.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Kanban and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in machine learning operations (MLOps).
  • Experience with forecasting implementations and working with forecasting models.
  • Proven experience with systems integration projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
  • Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, ADLS, DataRobot, Apache Airflow).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
