**SUMMARY** The Merchandise Presentation Planner serves as the system administrator and liaison between system users, management and IT; including Planogram Fixture Accessory Management (Chain & Design Development). Analyzes and improves floor planning, space planning, and store development processes through systems development, software implementation and support, training, and data integration. Creates & improves upon JDA/CKB Space Planning & Floor Planning reporting & analytics. Resolves JDA/CKB Space Planning, Floor Planning & Data Manager issues. As part of the Merchandise Presentation Floor Planning & Analytics Team, this position manages and leads cross-functional processes including Final Listing Management, Layout Module Rationalization, Site Layout Assignment Process (SLAP) and Site Assignments. Drives strategic company initiatives (Omni Max, DC Optimization, In-Store Navigation). Owns project management for strategic initiatives and project store concepts (fixture creation, department & layout module creation). Conducts and documents training & best practices based on identified needs of the department to strengthen internal and external team alignment. The Merchandise Presentation Planner owns the planogram process for assigned category management teams. Accountable for the accurate and efficient development, planning, and execution of merchandise presentation standards. Contributes to the strategic direction through expertise in space allocation, minimum presentation quantities, and merchandise presentation. Responsible for determining the flow and display of merchandise to presentation standards and optimal inventory productivity. Analyzes space to sales performance using space planning tools and reporting. Creates clear, concise and accurate merchandising direction for store implementation. Manages assigned category management teams through the creation, strategy and communication of planograms and associated processes and procedures, aligned to the merchandise life cycle and master calendars. Owns the JDA/CKB database to ensure accuracy for direct and indirect users. Leads and drives strategic company initiatives. Core developer for JDA/CKB reporting (space/floor/fixture/product). **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES** Responsible for functionality and the integrated performance of JDA/CKB systems and data - Defines and leads JDA Space Planning, JDA Floor Planning and CKB initiatives that leverage those systems to drive outstanding financial performance through collaboration and discovery with users and industry peers. Evaluates floor and space planning procedures and processes and making recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensures data accuracy and drives system and process improvements to maintain database integrity. Employs technical expertise to enhance software capabilities. Develops Space Planning & Floor Planning reporting for universal use as well as adhoc requests. Training and Support - Owns the continual enhancement and training of space & floor planning processes and tools to support the efficient and productive store-level execution of projects and company initiatives. Soliciting product and process enhancement requirements from client personnel. Converting requests into workable solutions to present to technical personnel. Maintaining system protocol and providing training references by writing and maintaining documentation. Strategic Company Initiatives

Defines and provides necessary tools, training, reporting to ensure successful company initiatives including space trades. Drives project management for strategic initiatives and project store concepts (fixture creation, department & layout module creation). Accountable for all planograms within the buyers area of responsibility and ensuring the buyers vision is executed across all areas by: Developing and presenting panel flow recommendations that align with the strategic direction of the shop Optimizing the space productivity (including but not limited to sales and margin performance) reporting of the planogram, working with the buyers and/or vendors Completing physical sets for each layout per timeline requirements Creating communication for all sizes, per timeline requirements Tracking and following up on all processes to ensure timelines are met Compiling all information and materials for merchandising communication to the stores and field management Owning fixture and marketing recommendations Partnering cross functionally with space planning analyst, buyers, inventory management, store operations, logistics, inventory management, in store marketing and store planning while executing strategy for shop Expected to initiate and work cross-functionally on projects that advance the goals and objectives of the company strategy, including process improvement, training, coaching, development, efficiencies, standards, and inter-department communication. Acts as representative of the department. Leads on-boarding of new hires. Reviews space productivity reporting and providing recommendations to the CMT regarding product mix, planogram breakouts and assortment consolidations, and vendor/article rationalization based on available space. **SKILLS / COMPETENCIES** Core Competencies Outstanding collaboration and communication skills Training and development experience Problem-solving skills Desire for continuous self-improvement and education Outstanding project management expertise Flexible and adaptable to changing situations Ensures data accuracy and drives system and process improvements to maintain database integrity. Introductory level of experience with SAP preferred. Programming languages and operating system knowledge, SQL Server/Oracle experience a plus. **EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE** * Education Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Software Development, Programming, Merchandising, Business, or related fields or relevant college coursework * Experience Minimum: 5 years experience in retail software development, merchandising, retail systems administration, or equivalent experience. * Experience Preferred: 6+ (Highly Specialized Individual Contributor)6+ years experience in retail software development, JDA software suite preferred This position will be located at: 5555 Darrow Road Hudson, OH 44236*JOANN is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
