Dietary Cook Position Summary
The Dietary Cook role includes the following responsibilities:

Review menus prior to food preparation and prepares the meal.
·
Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
·
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.
·
Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
·
Process diet changes and new diets as received from clinical.
·
Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.
·
Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.
·
Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
·
Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
Dietary Cook Requirements
·
High School Diploma
·
1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
