Develops, supports, and maintains large PL/SQL relational databases using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools -- Informatica Powercenter. Simplifies software application and data workflows using scheduling tools -- Control-M. Builds real-time data streaming pipelines and software applications that adapt to data streams using Informatica. Performs complex analysis to resolve data queries across multiple platforms. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building real-time data streaming pipelines and software applications that adapt to data streams using Informatica and PL/SQL within the financial services industry.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building real-time data streaming pipelines and software applications that adapt to data streams using Informatica and PL/SQL within the financial services industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing full Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of existing and new software applications using PL/SQL, Informatica, UNIX Shell Script, DataStage, and Control-M batch scheduler; and developing complex ETL data transformations using Informatica PowerCenter.

DE developing mappings and workflows to design and implement ETL processes using Informatica tool; and developing Perl and UNIX Shell Scripts for ETL workflow processing.

DE developing, debugging, and analyzing logic written in Oracle SQL/PLSQL to resolve day-to-day production issues (analyzing long running issues and tuning performance).

DE building, monitoring, and analyzing job logs created using BMC Control-M and Autosys job schedulers.
