Staff Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Email Marketing, to be a key member of our digital experience team. The Senior Manager, Email Marketing will be responsible for the daily creation and publishing of email messaging and developing email automations that drive engagement and action.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience in email marketing, digital marketing, lead generation, basic web design and digital marketing.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design techniques and strategies, online accessibility and current email standards, and the ability to develop engaging and compatible email layouts across all email platforms and devices.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful automated email marketing campaigns for lead generation and retention.

  • Experience in market research, including customer segmentation, competitive analysis, and market trends.

  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems and resolve issues.

  • Ability to see problems from a variety of angles and viewpoints.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze market trends, and draw actionable insights.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to execute, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with team member, understand marketing principles and trends, and have a track record of success in email marketing.

Physical Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in web design, UX, marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent related work experience. Official transcripts will be required.

  • One (1) year of experience working with email service providers (ESP) and customer relationship management platforms (CRM).

  • Preference given for experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM and Salesforce SOQL.

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience with email marketing, web design, marketing, communications or related field or equivalent related work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, time management and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Email Management - Oversee the day-to-day creation and publishing of the college's email messaging through a centralized email service provider (ESP). Provide regular reporting on email efforts and work with stakeholders to optimize their ongoing email messaging.

  • Email Automation and Lead Generation - Work with stakeholders across the college to develop robust email automation campaigns that enhance engagement, drive conversions, and support our business objectives. Report on email strategies and continually test and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.

  • Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing activation, creative services, and communications to ensure college's emails reflect the brand's messaging, values, and offerings.

  • Compliance - Works with stakeholders across the college to ensure college's emails meet all federal, state, local and college guidelines, including accessibility of our emails.

  • Project Management - Plan, execute and oversee the successful completion of various projects within the organization. Defining project objectives, create detailed project plans and allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.

  • Client Relations - Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal clients. Responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly, and ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.

  • Brand Ambassador - Serves as the advocate and gatekeeper for the Dallas College Brand and makes sure other team members embrace this stewardship.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
