Monitors patient drug therapy; provides drug information to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, other Medical Center employees and patients. Oversees and checks the activities of Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians. Department: Pharmacy Location: Englewood Hospital Status: Per Diem Shift: Variable, mainly weekdays Hours: 8 hours/shift Job Essentials: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, various medical center personnel, and patients when explaining prescription use and/ or gathering and exchanging other medication information. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for approximately 80% of work time when reading and interpreting physician orders and related materials, and examining and closely inspecting materials when filling medications orders and preparing IV solutions. Ability to prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established hospital and departmental procedures. Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy License/Certification/Registry: Current State license as a Pharmacist Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources. Minimum rate: $54.00
