Come be a part of the nation's largest rail crew transportation company as our new Regional Operations Manager About PTI - Where the RIGHT way is the SAFE way: Professional Transportation, Inc. has been providing crew transportation services for railroads since 1980 and has an industry reputation for providing quality, reliable, and safe crew transportation services. Much like a shuttle service, PTI receives around-the-clock requests from our railroad customers to pick up and drop off train crews. PTI dispatchers match up drivers with these trips and the drivers safely transport the crews to their destinations. PURPOSE OF JOB:This position is responsible for managing field operations tasks and assignments as required. The position will coordinate all aspects of new vehicle preparation, ensuring readiness for use by the field operations team. Additionally, the position will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of in-vehicle technologies, including GPS devices, Drive Cam, and railroad radios in the region. Will occasionally assist with general fleet maintenance needs in the region. JOB DUTIES:Field Management Assist underperforming locations with recruiting and hiring.Assist with management of branch locations where local management positions are vacant.Thoroughly analyze a branch location to identify and resolve root causes of performance issues.Meet with local customer representatives to address performance concerns.Resolving trip coverage issues.Fleet Management Upfitting of newly acquired vehicles to include exterior safety and company identifying decals, installation of required safety equipment such as cargo nets, fire extinguishers, etc.Installation of electronic technology hardware in PTI vehicles including railroad radio, Lytx Drive Cam, and GPS devices.Work with local PTI managers to coordinate and manage vehicle maintenance programs utilizing approved vendors and/or performing minor repairs.Sourcing potential new automotive repair vendors and suppliersWorking with existing vendors to coordinate vehicle maintenance.Vehicle inspections per company policies and procedures.Work with Director of Operations and Regional Vice President in managing all aspects of the region's fleet.GPS Installation Installation, calibration, and maintenance of GPS equipment, Drive Cam, and railroad radios.Work with corporate GPS team to assess / forecast needs.Maintain tools and equipment needed for installation and repair.GeneralPrompt and regular attendance.Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.Travel as business needs may require.Quality & Continuous ImprovementPersonally commit to quality in all aspects of work.Provide "World Class Customer Service" for internal and external customers.Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) for continuous improvement.Participate on teams to research, measure, and correct problems and to strive for process improvement.Communicate and exemplify the Company's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, and Philosophy.Attend at least ten (10) credit hours of training each calendar year to continue development of work-related skills.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Education:High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.Certifications or diplomas in vehicle maintenance a plus.Experience:Minimum of 1 year experience management people / team.1 year of vehicle maintenance and/or fleet management experience preferred, knowledge of vehicle electrical components and installation a plus.Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:Proficiency with computers and computer software required. Must be at least an intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word..Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Been driving for at least 3 yearsNo more than 2 speeding violations in the last 3 yearsNo more than 1 accident in the last 3 yearsLicense has not been suspended or revoked in the last 5 yearsPersonal transportationEEO
