How you make a difference:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing licensed nursing care to mentally ill individuals under the direction of the Director of Nursing. This includes evaluating medical stabilization, crisis intervention, providing structured activities and support, and documenting daily care. Additionally, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy environment for facility clients, following department protocols and policies, and communicating regularly with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts individualized patient assessments and develops personalized plans of care, while ensuring ongoing evaluation and reprioritization of care as needed.
Administers medications and performs therapeutic nursing interventions as prescribed, while monitoring and tracking individual client medical needs and documenting progress towards problem resolution.
Maintains confidentiality and provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the client's and family's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
Observes and reports client condition and behavioral/physical changes, while assisting in the admission and discharge processes and coordinating day-to-day activities for clients.
Maintains current competency in adult psychiatric/mental health care nursing, including the safe use of restraints and seclusion, and communicates with appropriate providers and pharmacy as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred BSN
Experience
Registered Nurse(s) at this level are expected to perform all duties within the scope of their license (e.g., medication administration, floor nurse assignments). However, completed work may require routine or detailed higher-level review depending upon the complexity of the duties involved.
Licenses/Certifications
Must possess a current, unrestricted California license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
