Job Summary

The Nurse Navigator serves as a care coordinator and educator throughout the process of discovering a lung nodule to diagnosis and treatment (incidental & preventative screening results). The navigator will be responsible for the development and coordination of the lung nodule program. The navigator will be expected to assess the physical, psychological, and social needs of each patient and will ensure the patient has access to quality and comprehensive resources as needed throughout the patient's journey. The nurse navigator will be responsible for ensuring appropriate follow-up care is scheduled and documented as ordered by the physician. The nurse navigator will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in lung nodule management, the primary point of contact throughout the patient's journey, and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team ensuring continuity of care.
