Pizza Maker

**$15 to $18 per hour, depending upon experience** **Overtime Compensation** **Resort Benefits such as $15 Golf** **Health, Dental, 401k & More for Full Time associates** **RESPONSIBILITIES** Possess and demonstrate the ability to teach others how to toss dough, assemble pizzas and cook them properly. * Manage multiple, simultaneous processes from dough and ingredient prep to cooking pizza in a pizza oven.

* Ensure that ingredients are stocked before service and communicate with management to order supplies before depletion.

* Pizza maker should know how to: (not an exhaustive list)

+ Prepare, toss and store pizza dough

+ Prepare quality pizza sauces

+ Roll out crusts

+ Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms)

+ Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef

+ Add ingredients according to recipes

+ Checks quality of pizzas before theyre served to guests

+ The resulting product should be consistent and delicious.

* Ensure cooking stations are sanitized and prepped with necessary tools prior to start of service.

* Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

* Prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through with assigned tasks.

* Must be able to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using sound judgment.

* Work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines of service.

* Handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

* Must be able to work well with others, promote a team environment, and contribute to the growth and success of the team.

* Must be able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.

* Maintain an immaculately clean and organized work environment; able to set up workstation fast and efficiently.

* Follow recipes to the specifications of the Chef (ability to increase or decrease recipe as needed).

* Possess and practice good knife skills.

* Can season food properly (season in layers).

* Can assist with the design and execution of daily features in accordance with Chefs specifications.

* Can properly follow all processes that are in place.

* Can communicate with all internal customers effectively (fellow line chefs, stewarding, service staff).

* Can fill out all requisitions properly.

* Properly label, date, and rotate all products on station and in walk in cooler.

* Clean and maintain equipment properly.

* Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulations and hotel requirements.

* Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress.

* Assist in directing performance of culinary staff and follow up with corrections where needed.

* Must be able to compute basic mathematical calculations.

* Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

* Uphold the core values, and policies and procedures of the resort.

* All other duties, as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS** 3 years experience in culinary field required. Previous work experience as a Pizza maker or similar role in a restaurant preferred. Previous hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs preferred. Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven preferred. Good time management skills required. **ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
