Kratos is seeking a Buyer for procurement of primarilyfabrication designs ranging from brackets to large weldments includingsurface finish, mechanical requirements for the entire business range of needs.Must have buying experience in1] DoD/Aerospace industry procurement (CPSR compliance) and 2]MRP for engineering-manufacturing environment.This is a very active and fast paced environment with a small business mind set.Will utilize Approved Vendor List and MRP generated requirements to issue RFQ and process/award POs.Attention to detail management of multiple priorities / vendors simultaneously.Must have technical understanding of engineering requirements thatmatch corresponding vendor capabilities.

• Microsoft Office
• Highly developed organizational abilities for self-management, problem tracking and priority setting
• Excellent communication written and verbal, internal and external
• Negotiation skills while continuing effective vendor working relationships.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing interface with Purchasing.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills for 1] BOM costing and 2] evaluating supplier bids including cost analyses in compliance withFAR/DFARS.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• COTS/MRO buying helpful (electrical / schematic drawings / technical specifications) - not required
• NCMA or ISM membership / certification
• Demonstrated comfort with CPSRcompliance
• Advanced excel spreadsheet capabilities & related computer skills.
• Familiar with "credit-card only" online purchase process, mirco threshold, FFTA reporting, SBA goals
• Deltek Costpoint helpful - not necessary but stated MRP environment
