Sandy beaches, wooded trails, cultural gardens, historic homes, community supported agriculture-there are many ways for visitors to discover and explore The Trustees, and just as many opportunities for seasonal employees to make each visitor's experience special. Position Summary: The EMT is an integral part of the summer public safety team at Crane Beach. Reporting to the EMT Supervisor, the EMT works as the lone EMT, staffing a First Aid Station treating walk-in patients, and responding to emergencies on the beach or elsewhere on the Crane Estate property. The EMT is in charge of the scene, coordinating first aid/rescue efforts with lifeguards and rangers, as well as responding outside agencies, such as police, fire, and ambulance. On busy weekends and holidays, a second EMT may also be on duty. The EMT, when not providing medical care, has other duties and responsibilities including leadership of the First Aid Office, supply inventory, and radio dispatching for summer staff. Pay Rate: $20-$22.00 per hour In This Role You Will: Essential Functions: Check all equipment at the beginning of each shift. This includes but not limited to the following: AED, first aid bag, oxygen equipment, extrication gear, First Aid station treatment cart and cabinet.While not rendering medical aid the EMT is responsible for communications; this includes monitoring radio communication to dispatch rangers, lifeguards and staff where necessary.Maintain daily logbook.Operate transport vehicles as needed: pick-up truck, ATVs and UTVsOther duties as assigned with or without accommodation.QualificationsQualifications: Massachusetts EMT Basic EMT certification or higher.Maintain a current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification.Must be current on all training required by Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services.
