Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Create individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and goals
  • Implement therapy techniques and exercises to improve speech and language abilities
  • Train and educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in speech therapy through continuing education
  • Regularly communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to provide support and answer questions
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Strong knowledge of communication and swallowing disorders and treatment techniques
  • Ability to assess and diagnose speech-language disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
