Key Responsibilities
Network Design and Architecture:
Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure network architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business goals.
Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to enhance performance and capabilities.
Implementation and Configuration:
Oversee the deployment and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Ensure network solutions are implemented in accordance with best practices and compliance requirements.
Network Management and Troubleshooting:
Proactively monitor network performance and health, using advanced tools and methodologies.
Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.
Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configuration templates, and operational procedures.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewall policies, access controls, and VPN configurations.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Ensure the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentorship and Training:
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for network optimization and efficiency improvements.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements, continuously updating skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
Certification:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record in designing and managing large-scale enterprise networks.
Extensive experience with Cisco network technologies and solutions.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
Expertise in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Cisco Prime, Wireshark, and SolarWinds.
