The Kitchen in Chicago, IL features a seasonal menu in a refined rustic atmosphere that is warm and inviting. The Server Assistant is responsible for supporting the team and helping to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy, outgoing individual who will help to foster connections with friends, family, and the community through service, food and drink. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.

****Responsibilities****

* Service aspects include guest relations, ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.

* Keen attention to detail; fully engaged in serving the team and strive to provide a superior level of service; model and promote teamwork.

* Desire to support a team in all capacities during service including performing skills and responsibilities of a server assistant, busser, food runner, etc. This may include greeting tables, providing water, and coordinating the timing and delivery of each course for each table.

* Assist with side work, proper opening and closing of the restaurant, and other responsibilities as assigned.

* Exemplify hospitality and conscientiousness in all interactions with guests, vendors, and the community.

* Promote and embrace the restaurants community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, outgoing nature, and a pleasant, professional appearance.

* Support the restaurant's vision and responsibility of being eco-conscious.

****Qualifications****

* Must be passionate about hospitality.

* Superior temperament, adaptable nature, and good communication skills.

* Motivated professional with a love for taking care of others.

* Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.

* May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.

* The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Must be able to serve alcohol.

****Working Conditions****

* Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.

* Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.
