Our client is an exciting global medical manufacturing organization seeking a Site/Plant Controller. The Site Controller is responsible for managing the financial statements (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss), business budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and ensuring robust accounting controls and processes.

HYBRID in office 1 Day a week

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the month-end close process.
  • Produce variance analysis reports comparing budget, forecast, and prior year performance, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Follow month-end reporting procedures to prepare financial and operational packages for communication to finance and non-finance teams.
  • Manage standard cost accounting, including materials, labor, and overhead rates, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries during the close process and approve non-standard entries.
  • Provide mid-month flash figures for both sales and EBITDA.
  • Complete Year-End Audit files and serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Develop and finalize annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Conduct working capital analysis.
  • Oversee plant capital expenditure projects, tracking spending against forecast and budget.
  • Interact with relevant teams such as Corporate Accounting, A/R, A/P, Payroll, HR, Tax, and IT.
  • Oversee inventory count procedures and results, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Perform sales and balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial business-related duties as required.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 6 years of experience and strong business acumen.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with hands-on knowledge of manufacturing systems and their link to financial reporting and performance interpretation.
  • Solid management skills with experience leading teams of 2 or more employees, with a track record of mentoring and growing team members.
  • Financial planning and analysis skills to determine success and areas of need, and the ability to communicate results effectively.
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient, user-friendly processes for financial planning and analysis that align with strategic objectives.
