Description

Florida Housing Finance Corporation is recruiting for an experienced professional to assist with leading our Operations department. The Director of Operations works closely with internal staff in each business unit. As such, the Director of Operations must possess strong leadership, management, and communication skills to work effectively at all levels across the Corporation. The Director of Operations supervises the Human Resources, Records and Information Management, Facility Management, Business Continuity, and Customer Service business units. This position works independently in performing job duties and will develop processes and plans in support of the programs managed. The Director is responsible for training and development, policy review and development, the performance evaluation process, position classification and the benefits administration and payroll process. The Director of Operations oversees 13 positions, including two subordinate supervisors.

Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Job related work experience can substitute for the education preference on a year for year basis. 5 years of progressively responsible human resource management experience Advanced skill and experience leading people, programs and projects Strong leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills, and the highest degree of both personal and professional integrity Experience managing a benefits and/or payroll process Experience developing pay and classification plans is preferred Experience developing and implementing policies and managing processes Experience presenting training programs Ability to apply rules, policies and regulations Advanced writing and communications skills with the ability to communicate clearly and at a level that can be understood by all Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, discretion, and confidentiality Experience balancing competing priorities while remaining responsive to staff's needs. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs A criminal history background check will be conducted on the selected applicant.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated hiring salary is $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Florida Housing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, dental, vision, short and long-term disability insurance and other miscellaneous programs.
