Join us.The Role The Material Handler II - Inventory Control loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. The Material Handler II - Inventory Control performs daily inspections of outbound material to ensure accuracy of all shipments. many of the same duties as Material Handler I, however, the incumbent is required to be more efficient and will be expected to accomplish more assigned tasks than the Material Handler I. The incumbent is responsible for reporting inaccuracies or quality issues prior to material leaving the facility. handling special projects (e.g., loading larger, more valuable products) that would not be assigned to a Material Handler I due to the experience level.Starting Pay: $20.30/Hour. Can be adjusted with experience.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Cross train in shipping, receiving, and material handling/storage.Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.Clamps sections of portable conveyor together or places conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.Assembles crates to contain products such as machines or vehicles.Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace.Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain ongoing housekeeping excellence.Performs other duties as assignedParticipate in inventory-related projects and initiatives as needed including all other required duties of an auditor.Has intermediate knowledge of electronic systems, including tablets and computers.Responsible for the inspection and reporting on material pulled and staged for shipment.Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearOccasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other PPE as required by the departmentWork Environment: May regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibrationNoise level: usually moderateAdditional Information: Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
