Role Summary
At Sherwood Design Engineers, we value collaboration that incorporates multiple perspectives and believe that diverse ideas produce more robust and equitable solutions. We have an amazing opportunity for a driven and curious Design Engineer focused on water/wastewater treatment design to support our team.
5+ years of industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Civil and/or Environmental
Strong water/wastewater technical background, including in-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes including for water reuse
Knowledge of project phases including master planning, conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration
Ability to research and interpret technical documents
Experience in preparing and advancing plan set packages through all project phases including providing redlines for drafter
Proficient in AutoCAD
Knowledge of civil design programs (Civil 3D, LDT, Storm and Sewer Analysis, Hydro CAD, Flowmasters, Storm CAD, etc.)
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
Experience with water/wastewater process modeling simulation software (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X)
Certifications or other sustainability-oriented accreditation preferred (iLEED , Envision, Living Building Challenge, EcoDistricts)
