Spirit AeroSystems Supply Chain Management Organization is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services. The company has contracts and agreements in place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. A Purchasing / Procurement Manager at Spirit is responsible for leading a team of purchasing professionals through the life cycle of purchased components from requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/ delivery to the assembly line. Our teams ensure we have the right part, at the right place, at the right time
Responsibilities:Key Accountabilities
Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one supplier management and procurement job family applying independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives
Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes
Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers, suppliers and employee across all levels to carry out responsibilities
Applies process management and improvement techniques
Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to problems
Facilitates work teams, provides training, and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement
The role demands a focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment
Candidates must also display strong judgment, leadership, and integrity
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and departments in a diverse environment
Qualifications:Requirements:
5+ years of experience in as a Supply Chain Professional and/or Management experience in a production environment
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience working with multiple cross functional groups
Strong project management and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization
Ability to effect change
Knowledge of MRP systems, SAP preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study
MBA or Masters Degree
Knowledge/experience with manufacturing and manufacturing processes
APICS, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification
