LOCATION: Open to this position being based anywhere within our trade territory. Primary Objectives of Position: Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals, budgeting. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs. Responsibilities of the Position: Directly supervises sales employees in Agronomy. Assigns territory to sales representatives. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist employees with promoting sales. Represents company at trade association meetings. Meets with key clients, assisting agronomy advisors with maintaining customer relationships. Demonstrates the following competencies: analytical, design, problem-solving, project management, technical and interpersonal skills, customer service, written and oral communications, teamwork, visionary leadership, delegation, and dependability. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in ag-related field preferred, or equivalent related work experience. 5 years of sales experience with prior supervision of staff. Proven track record of success while implementing a sales strategy from beginning to end. Must have a clean driving record and promote a safe working environment.
