Senior Data Steward Equifax is looking for a Senior Data Steward to join our Global Identity, Fraud, and Compliance Fraud Product team. In this exciting role, you will provide data governance support and subject matter expertise to review and adapt existing data governance guidelines to a new multi-data domain platform. This role will focus on analyzing and improving data quality initiatives, enhancing data processing capabilities and extracting insights from data assets. To include; identifying data handling effectiveness and the management of business and process requirements, isolating and coordinating the resolution of data quality issues and ensuring the correct utilization of this large data asset falls within contractual and regulatory boundaries.

**What Youll Do**

* Support all data quality excellence activities to ensure the data reposed are accurate and elevate the down-stream usage of this data in products and services.

* Maintain and update active projects, backlogs and roadmaps. Compile and present management level reports that summarize data quality and usage metrics, project pipelines, prioritization and backlogs.

* Identify data integrity issues, risk assessments and impact analysis to incorporate resolution and/or mitigation options.

* Participate in and support projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes relevant to the execution and management of data steward principles and standards.

* Oversee the access and usage of the data set to ensure all regulatory and customer specific agreements are not in violation.

* Assist stakeholders across the Enterprise Data Council to define and implement data governance strategies and procedures which support Enterprise Growth Initiatives and New Product Innovation.

**What Experience you need:**

* Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, information management, organizational performance, communications or similar related field.

* 5-7 years experience with and/or knowledge of data stewardship and/or within a data management environment and how they affect business decisions.

* 5+ years experience with data handling/quality or ETL tools i.e. SAS, SQL, DataStage/InfoSphere, DataLever/RedPoint DM, Spotfire, Tableau or other industry-standard tools, with a good understanding of database methodologies and technologies.

**What will set you apart:**

* Hands-on experience with Big Data environments e.g. Hadoop technologies like Hortonworks or Cloudera, R, Hive, Pig is highly valued.

* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with Confluence, SharePoint and/or Agile a bonus.
