Responsibilities As a Field Technician / IT Facility Coordinator you will coordinate and support a variety of technical projects related to the setup and maintenance of the IT infrastructure for Dayton Freight Lines Service Centers.

Exercise discretion to order and track vendor services for Service Center locations, such as telecom circuit orders and cable/infrastructure

Travel to service centers to analyze and install/move facility equipment including, but not limited to, network rack equipment, desktop/user equipment, etc.

Utilizes independent judgment to provide technical support to end-users via Help Desk and in the field regarding diverse software and hardware systems

Maintains proper documentation for all projects/tasks assigned to include inputting applicable records such as network users, security, and tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials

Utilizes independent judgement to perform moderately advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems

Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts

Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and / or systems

Performs in an ethical and professional manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures

Assists the Help Desk Supervisor with projects as assigned

Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes

Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:

CompTIA Network+

Microsoft Office 365 Associate

Qualifications:

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Ability to deploy and terminate network wiring

Ability to provide functional direction to other technical support

Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively

Ability to self-manage and demonstrate initiative

Ability to problem-solve using tools provided as well as online resources

Use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions according to written specifications and/or oral instructions
