Fast paced working environment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:* Manage and maintain driver qualification files (DQF)* Manage Electronic Logging Device (ELD) as administrator* Facilitate International Registration Plan (IRP) and IFTA registrations and reporting requirements* Assist with Property Tax, Heavy Vehicle Use Tax, UCR & MCS150 Reporting* Manage inputs and outputs of the 3rd party transportation compliance and risk system/service (currently Lee Trans Transportation Compliance)* Notify drivers and/or supervisor or expiring driver compliance items: license, medical, etc. and update file items.* Perform log corrections when requested/required.* Maintain accurate Synagro driver roster* Monitor and submit monthly fleet mileage reports to various lease companies.* Data entry in various systems (today its ARI)* Assist with coding invoices, completing check requests, forwarding checks to appropriate vendors* Update ARI & Pedigree Database with meter readings, project changes, etc.* Assist with PO entry and monitor through approval process* Coordinate daily updates and data reviews of Driver Qualification System for accuracy and compliance* Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Regulations* Supports the development of regulatory plans/programs needed to maintain compliance for both state and federal jurisdiction* Obtains, analyzes, and communicates critical transportation regulatory information for use by management and locations* Assist with Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management* Maintain Compliance, Safety and Accountability (CSA) reporting and accuracy of scores* File administrative materials by following the pre-established filing system and placing materials into proper location to orderly archive files for proper storage and efficient retrieval when necessary - ISO compliance.* Process written communications such as letters, reports, etc., by word processing or data entering information to create finished written products according to specific requirements.* Performs all other related duties as assigned.KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:* Self-motivated, results oriented* Effective oral and written communication skills* Critical thinking and analytical skills* Superior project & time management skills* Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to generate efficient, high quality outcomesCOMPETENCIES:* Customer Focus* Action & Results Oriented* Flexibility* Approachability* Organizational Agility* Understands the cultures of organizations.* Time Management Values time, uses his/her time effectively and efficientlyQUALIFICATIONS:* Associate degree or a minimum of 3 years working within a transportation/fleet department.* Ideal candidate has prior knowledge of transportation regulatory requirements, emerging trends, and issues* Understanding of transportation safety standards and guidelines.* DOT compliance knowledge preferred.* Operations/Transportation experience preferred.* Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.* Excellent communication/decision-making skills.* Ability to interact with multiple departments, geographic regions, and different levels of management.* Equipment knowledge is a plusThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position.
