We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager at our Menasha location

Reporting to the Director of Retail, the Branch Manager will lead our awesome member service team to meet member experience, operational, organizational, and financial goals. Our front-line member service team is the face of the organization, the first point of contact and the team that our members know and trust. They are the ultimate multi-taskers, experience-makers and arguably some of the most important roles at the credit union. Must possess a love for people, a flare for precision, and the ability to lead and inspire others to achieve.

In other words, the Branch Manager is a vital part of our whole member experience, leading our member service team and performing backup MSR/MSA duties when needed. Inspires the team to provide superior service and an awesome experience to all members, offering a full range of products and services through meaningful conversations. The BM will also work with members on improving their financial situation by offering Prospera Credit Union's suite of loan products.

Essential Functions Include (but are not limited to):
  • Member Experience: Experience-maker...
    • Build relationships, create meaningful experiences and tailored solutions that are designed to meet members' individual needs.
    • Serve as an expert resource for staff and members on products and services offered by Prospera Credit Union. Provide information and knowledge to members to empower and instill confidence that results in a greater understanding of their finances and Prospera's offerings to assist in making informed decisions.
    • Ensure team members understand our internal partners and how to make appropriate referrals.
    Member Interaction: Possess a love for people...
    • Build rapport with members and actively inquire about their additional needs
    • Assist members and support associates with a variety of account needs. Maintaining and opening accounts, subaccounts, memberships, IRA's, HSA's, CDs, specialty accounts, credit card applications, etc.
    Leadership: Inspire awesomeness...
    • Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated member service team to meet daily branch demands.
    • Promotes a positive work environment that values consistency, teamwork, personal growth and accountability.
    • Training and coaching the team to provide exceptional service and a top-notch member experience
    • Recognizes employee achievements and works with employees to strengthen their skills.
    • Providing informal/formal counseling and coaching. Documenting of policy and procedural violations or inadequate performance of employees and partners with the Director of Retail and Human Resources, to recommend and administer disciplinary action.
    • Completing weekly, biweekly, or monthly one on ones with team members to connect, address concerns, performance, metrics, goals, etc.
    • Positively motivating the team in cross-selling and member education activities to foster fun, challenging environment to meet or exceed branch objectives.
    • Partners with HR to open job requisitions for hiring. Participates in the process for hiring new team members, including interviewing, and making hiring decisions in conjunction with HR.
    • Completes Performance Reviews and Individual Development Plans in a timely manner and on a regular basis, providing recommendations for staff growth and development.
    • Supports company decisions and provides input for company decision as applicable.
    • Monitor all branch activities to ensure they maintain compliance with established financial and Credit Union policies and procedures.
    Lending: Have a curious nature...
    • Develop an in-depth knowledge of lending products and services.
    • Meet or exceed assigned loan volume and branch goals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
    • Educate members on loan programs and offerings, evaluate needs, and recommend loan options.
    Administrative
    • Scheduling team members, receiving and approving/denying time off requests based on staffing and branch needs. Updating timecards, missing punches and completing timecard verifications
    • Prepare and submit reports, reverse transactions, maintaining and balancing the vault
    • Other job-related duties as assigned
What could make you a great candidate for this opportunity?
  • A minimum of 3 years current or previous Branch Manager experience is required.
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
    • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
    • A passion for helping people and leading an awesome team.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship building skills
    • Demonstrates a high level of respect for others and works well with other leaders.
    • Solid ability to create a positive team environment and maintain cooperation internally and/or externally.
    • Display high integrity in all situations while maintaining a high level of accountability for own work and that of the team.
    • The ability to coach, motivate, influence and inspire others.
    • A significant level of diplomacy and trust
    • Strong attention to detail
