The Senior Secretary in the Outpatient Rehab performs a range of secretarial duties to ensure efficient and effective office operations. This role supports various staff and functional areas throughout the department as needed.
Shift: Mon - Thursday 9:30am - 6:00pm
Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and make appropriate referrals.
- Greet visitors and serve as the department's receptionist to maintain smooth operations.
- Type and format correspondence, announcements, and reports.
- Assist in compiling data for operational reports.
- Assist with various projects, summarizing and compiling findings in reports, spreadsheets, graphs, or other formats.
- Support other staff with on-site event planning activities.
- Create and maintain an accurate filing system and records of departmental activities and projects.
- Assist with the preparation of check requisitions, purchase requisitions, and expense reports.
- Utilize Lawson to process purchase requisitions.
- Order office supplies and arrange for the maintenance of office equipment and facilities.
- Manage patient scheduling with appropriate caregivers/audiologists based on patient input.
- Handle cash transactions and provide basic maintenance instructions for purchased items.
- Duties involve several related sequential steps, processes, or methods.
- Work impacts specific areas significantly and has a substantial effect on student or patient well-being, comfort, or convenience.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Minimum Experience:
Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
