+ Review patient profiles to assure safe and effective medication therapy+ Responsible for dispensing of medications, monitoring and reporting drug safety based on current clinical and institutional guidelines, as well as patient-specific criteria + Oversees technician practice/activities as per regulatory requirements. + Responsible for mediation storage and documentation + Actively participates in clinical services (e.g., stewardships, cost-effective, patient experience)+ Adheres to safety requirements in the handling and preparation of sterile and non-sterile medications and other hazardous agents (e.g., oncology) according to current guidelines (USP 797, USP 800, ASHP, NIOSH)+ Communicates effectively and appropriately with healthcare providers and caregivers and assures continuity of pharmaceutical care between shifts and among team members+ Participates in the training, education and mentoring of other pharmacists and technicians + Participates in quality, safety and other project work related to medication management + Graduated from accredited school of pharmacy + Active registration with NJ Board of Pharmacy ABOUT USAt Atlantic Health System, our promise to our communities is; Anyone who enters one of our facilities, will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
