Deputy City Engineer

The City of Hesperia is looking for a team-oriented,collaborative leader to continue addressing the needs of thecommunity both today and in the future with their planning,design, and construction of the infrastructure of the City. Visitthe City’s Employment Page for more information Qualifications: Education and Experience: Any combination of education andexperience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilitiesnecessary for the position of Deputy City Engineer. A typical wayof obtaining the required qualifications is to possess theequivalent of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college oruniversity in civil engineering, or a closely related field; five(5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field ofcivil engineering or a closely related field; collaborations withelected officials, staff, developers, businesses, and residentsand at minimum two (2) years of direct administrative leadershipresponsibility. A master’s degree is desirable.License/Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a validclass “C” California driver’s license. Possession of and abilityto maintain a Professional Civil Engineer License (PE) as issuedby the California Board for Professional Engineers, LandSurveyors, and Geologists
