Job Opportunity: Phlebotomist I Location: Reno, NV 89509 State of Credentials Licenses Required: State of Nevada Lab Assistant License Shift: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm Job Description: The Phlebotomist/Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. This role understands and communicates core products and services to patients in an empathetic manner. The Phlebotomist/Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for greeting patients and escort them to phlebotomy, medical records, and processing payment information. In this role, you can expect to: Collect specimens in a safe, efficient manner, according to established procedures. For phlebotomy specimens, specimen processing includes, but is not limited to, centrifuging, labeling, sorting and logging specimens into the tracking system. Maintain all areas of the phlebotomy lab, including desk and waiting area. Maintain, evaluate and ensure the continuing education to meet phlebotomy requirements. Ensure accurate, efficient and timely patient registration, access and dispatch. Collect co-payments, provide complete and accurate information concerning lab services, and present bills to patients. Process payment and issue receipts for phlebotomy and other services.
