Our Project Managers are problem solvers, focused on producing high-quality outcomes on customer projects.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) providing support to one or more state agencies.

What Youll Do

Provide overall planning, coordination, and oversight of all activities for assigned projects
Lead projects through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Work effectively with customers including agency staff, business analysts, Application Development, and other ITSD functional areas to complete projects on time and within budget
Project status reporting
Contract Management for vendor-engaged projects
May act as Scrum Master or Scrum Coach on assigned projects
Assist the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Directors, and/or Managers with planning and direction

All You Need For Success

Knowledge of the following is desired:

Project Management methodologies and best practices
Scrum fundamentals; Scrum Master Certification is preferred
Business Analysis
Concepts, practices, and procedures within the SDLC

Excellent Communication, Leadership, Organization, Conflict Resolution, and Critical Thinking
Planning and organizing projects ensuring project deadlines are met
Managing projects from conception to implementation
Informed and effective decision-making
Ability to collaborate with professional staff and stakeholders
Ability to lead a team, provide direction, and take initiative
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidates name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Strengths in Negotiation, Lean and Strategic Thinking, Building Strong Partnerships and Relationship Building, and the ability to develop productive, team-oriented relationships are also beneficial. Knowledge of Scrum according to Scrum.orgs Scrum Guide is also beneficial.
