Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Description:
A manufacturer of various metal products has an immediate opening for a MIG welder. You will be pulse MIG welding on mild steel products. You will MIG weld various steel products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using a variety of welding processes include MIG pulse welding. Candidates must have 2 plus years of welding experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Fuse or weld metal structural components together by means of MIG pulse welding in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures.
  • Perform welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence.
  • Utilize all safety devices and wear all mandatory personal protective safety equipment.
  • Adjust welding equipment to its prescribed settings.
  • Maintain and operate production tooling and fixtures as well all welding equipment in a safe and secure manner.
  • Read and complete labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and blueprints.
  • Performs minor welding machine maintenance (i.e. tips, liners, gas cups).
Hours:
  • 1st: Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • 2nd: Monday thru Thursday3:00PM - 11:00PM
  • 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11PM - 7AM
Pay:
$24.00 to 30/Hour

Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of welding
  • Pulse welding, MIG, and Flux core
  • Candidates will be performing MIG welding on basic utility structures.
  • Ability to read the tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols.
