The role focuses on the origination of residential first mortgages through an external referral network, aiming to meet sales goals and credit union objectives. This position includes the opportunity for a monthly draw limit and performance-based commissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional member experience throughout the mortgage process.
  • Develop and maintain a self-generating referral network to meet sales goals.
  • Complete mortgage loan applications online, over the phone, or in person.
  • Communicate with members about required information and set expectations for the application process.
  • Pull tri-merge credit reports to ensure eligibility based on credit history and FICO scores.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential mortgage lending.
  • Valid Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
  • Solid understanding of mortgage industry lending practices and programs.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and manage referral partnerships.
  • Experience working in a sales-centric, goal-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional professionalism and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, and databases.
  • Experience in reaching or exceeding sales goals.
