Job Summary: Responsible for the successful daily operation of the Table Games department, assuring game protection. Supervise all aspects of the Table Games operation during assigned shift(s) as directed; coordinates overall communication between the Director of Table Games, Table Games Assistant Shift Manager(s), Supervisor(s), Dealers and other departmental staff as directed. Support the activities of the Table Games department by tracking, assigning, and follow up of performance management systems. Complete knowledge of Table Games Policies and Procedures, Title 31 regulations, and Basic Strategy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Makes recommendations to hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, recommends merit increases, evaluates performance and completes all written documentation in regard to Annual Evaluations as well as creating and adjusting performance standards.
- Foster a culture of learning and development; support individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals.
- Exhibits Leadership skills through the continuous evaluation, guidance and encouragement of Team Members.
- Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
- Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
- Monitors gaming play on assigned tables for mistakes, fills credits, money changes and game protection.
- Interacts with guests to provide a memorable gaming experience.
- Enforces Table Games Policies and Procedures.
- Monitors guest consumption and respond according to TIPS training.
- Responsible for following established departmental procedures and all applicable laws and show responsibility by practicing methods that were taught through our TIPS Program.
- Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that may arise.
- Visit staff on all shifts to ensure enhanced communications among all Team Members and Management.
- Completes scheduling requirements of the overall department taking into account staffing levels, scheduling according to business needs and reference historical data, etc.
- Oversees the administration of the department payroll processes, and the department performance management processes including appraisals, disciplinary actions, positive coaching, attendance tracking, performance improvement plans, performance plans, etc.
- Assists the Director of Table Games with all administrative functions.
- Prepares memorandums, meetings minutes, and other information as required or as instructed.
- Routine office duties, such as: taking messages, greeting guests, filing, and organizing.
- Orders and maintains office supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.
- Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all meetings as required.
- Completes all required training satisfactorily.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Works at other properties as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have five (5) years' experience in Table Games, which includes at least three (3) years' experience as a full time Table Games Supervisor or above at a property comparable to the size and volume of Odawa Casino Resort within the past two (2) years.
- Must be proficient in all four (4) major games offered at Odawa Casino Resort: Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Poker.
- Must be able to pass an audition/test based on previous Table Games experience.
- Must be able to efficiently manage the Table Games department as Shift Manager.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Title 31 compliance regulations.
- Must have knowledge of TMICS and/or Internal Controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products, and ability to quickly learn specialized software packages.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be flexible with shifts and days off.
- Exposure to loud and continual noise levels, a smoke filled environment.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
