Job Title: Controls & Automation Engineer

Job Description

This role involves planning and coordinating parts of technical design and engineering implementation of project work. Responsibilities include providing input and technical support on projects, adhering to good engineering practices and company standards, and contributing to the development and delivery of detailed documentation. The role demands a team player approach to project execution and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You will also perform other duties as required.
Hard Skills

• Familiarity with current technologies used in automation engineering applications
• Documentation, programming, simulation, testing, and commissioning support
• I/O checkout with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and modify system architecture, wiring, and panel drawings
• PC hardware and software maintenance
• Basic panel design and specification of components
• Technical writing, including testing plan creation
• Engineering critical thinking and independent problem solving
• Understanding of process
• SCADA application development using InTouch, RSView, and other software toolsets

Soft Skills

• Ability to interact with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
• Team player approach to project execution
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Resourceful and well organized

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Overland Park, KS.
