Network Security / IPS Specialist
Contract Duration: 6 months, renewable
Worksite: Hybrid - downtown Toronto, ON
Our client, a global leading IT company, is looking for a Network Security / IPS Specialist.
Skills:
Configure, maintain, and update IPS hardware and software to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Strong working experience with Cisco IPS and IDS, Cisco FirePower, Palo Alto firewalls, and etc.
Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and manage security alerts generated by the IPS.
Analyze and respond to incidents, ensuring timely mitigation of security threats.
Develop and implement strategies to prevent future intrusions and network vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with security team to enhance overall network security posture.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential security gaps.
Document all incidents and actions taken for future reference and compliance requirements; and
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and prevention techniques.
