We Make Life More Rewarding and DignifiedLocation: LibertyvilleDepartment: QualitySummary:The purpose of this position is to support the Kirksville, MO mligiblenufacturing facility in assuring quality products by performing process capability studies, determining process improvements, instituting corrective action for process & Quality System deficiencies, and partnering with Kirksville operations in achieving plant objectives.This is a hybrid role based in our Kirksville, Missouri manufacturing plant. Qualified candidates who live more than 50 miles from the Kirksville plant are eligible for a lump sum relo to relocate to the Kirksville, MO area.Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, execute, and document process capability studiesPlan, coordinate, execute, and document process improvement studiesPerform and document investigations, including root cause analysis for customer complaints, scrap, rejects, etc.Support Operations & GQM strategic plans in leading or supporting projectsPlan, coordinate, and document Quality PlansPlan, coordinate, and document work instructionsPlan, coordinate, test/inspection methods including the purchase of equipmentConduct training on defect awareness, statistical techniques, and good manufacturing practicesPlan, conduct, and document Internal AuditsEssential Functions of the Role:Time spent using PC or keyboardWalking large plant floor area.Considerable verbal interface/communicationWork Experience Requirements:Number of Overall Years Necessary: 2-5Experience in plastic injection molding. 3years experience desiredQuality engineering experience preferredTechnical knowledge in systematic injection molding techniques preferredEducation Requirements:B.S. or B.A. in Plastics, Engineering, Math, Natural Sciences, Computer Science or related studySpecialized Skills/Special Knowledge:ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferredExperience in medical device manufacturing desiredMedical Device regulatory knowledge (preferred)Location Specifications:Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking EnglishAbout Hollister IncorporatedHollister Incorporated is an independent, employee-owned company that develops, manufactures and markets healthcare products worldwide.
