Job Description

Join our team as an OBD Subsystem Engineer where you will be responsible for delivering, validating, and maintaining on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for cutting-edge powertrain technologies. This role involves creating and delivering essential documentation such as DFMEA, P-Diagrams, Boundary Diagrams, Calibration Guidelines, Diagnostics Operations Summary, and Fault Demonstration Methods to ensure compliance with global diagnostic regulations. You will perform diagnostic routines, analyze data, report findings, and provide recommendations to enhance system reliability and durability. Additionally, you will be involved in HIL/SIL, on-road, emissions, and dynamometer data collection to validate and calibrate the diagnostic monitoring capability of new powertrain technologies. You will also collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve OBD issues, and author scripts using Matlab, Python, or other languages to support the calibration process.

Hard Skills

+ BS in Engineering or Computer Science

+ 3+ years experience with in-vehicle powertrain software Test/Validation

+ Heavy vehicle level testing experience

+ Experience in Matlab, Python, or other scripting languages

+ Valid drivers license

Soft Skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Effective communication and reporting skills

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment requiring on-site support 2-3 days per week. On-site work includes both office and lab environments, and you will need to support early morning meetings with our team in the UK.
